Kerala, Muvattupuzha RDO Mohanan Pillai held for taking bribe of Rs 50,000
Vigilance team today arrested a Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) for supposedly taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a man in Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam locale.
A group headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police P N Ramesh captured RDO V R Mohanan Pillai from his office in Muvattupuzha while taking the fix of Rs 50,000 after one Mathew Daniel had held up an objection with the Vigilance Unit against him, authorities said. As indicated by the objection, Pillai had requested a fix of Rs 50,000 for permitting the complainant to build a wall almost a paddy field near his home in Vengachuvadu in Muvattupuzha, a Vigilance official said.
Daniel had educated the Vigilance division taking after which it started a test into the occurrence. PTI TGB ROH VS PVI.
