Indians walk, pedal their way out of Kathmandu

They strolled, accelerated and bummed a ride crosswise over slippery territory made dangerous by unending downpours and streets tore up by the executioner seismic tremor. For Indians escaping the Nepalese capital Kathmandu, it was practically a voyage out of damnation.

Indians from Bihar began touching base at this fringe township in ones and twos, each with nerve racking stories of surviving a strenuous excursion of more than 250 km from Kathmandu, crushed by Saturday's 7.9-magitude shudder.
