Malayalam actor Dileep denied bail in actor sexual assault case.

The Kerala High Court on Monday rejected a bail request of actor Dileep, now in legal custody regarding the case identifying with the rape of a lady actor.

Amid the hearing on the request, Director General of Prosecution Manjeri Sreedharan Nair presented that Dileep, the eleventh charged for the crime, was the "boss" of the intrigue behind the sexual assault case. The criminal conspiracy with "Pulsar" Suni, prime charged for the case, was brought forth in March-April 2013 at a hotel in Kochi.

Mr. Nair contended that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case had find adequate material confirmation to prove Dileep's association in the criminal conspiracy. Moreover, his part in the crime was affirmed by telephone call records and articulations of witnesses. Truth be told, his arrest was made on the premise of strong proof.

As the critical witnesses for the case were from the Malayalam film industry, if Dileep was released on bail, he would influence them to disrupt the investigation and trial, he said.

Dileep, in his appeal, claimed that he was made an accused only on the basis of an allegation that he participated in a conspiracy allegedly hatched with ‘Pulsar’ Suni, “a notorious criminal involved in abduction and robbery. "It was the result of “a deep-rooted conspiracy at high levels.”, he claimed.
