Crisp climate no obstacle for Munnar marathon. 

Several individuals, including outsiders, took an interest in the main high-elevation marathon held at Munnar on Saturday. 

The 71-km ultra-marathon started from ATC Stadium in Old Munnar at 4 a.m. Twenty people participated in it. 

The 42.10-km full marathon was hailed off at 5.15 a.m., 21.1 - km half marathon at 6.30 a.m., and seven-km 'keep running for the sake of entertainment marathon,' at 10 a.m. 

In spite of the crisp climate, about 800 individuals took an interest in the marathon. It was another experience for the members and guests in Munnar. Countless individuals saw the occasion. 

L.L. Meena, a Delhi inhabitant and an Army official in Jammu and Kashmir, won the primary spot in the ultra-marathon while Munnar Eco Nagar occupant Murthy won the second place. The half marathon was hailed off by cricketer Sreesanth.

Munnar is a town and slope station situated in the Idukki locale of the southwestern Indian condition of Kerala. Munnar is arranged at around 5,200 ft over the ocean level. The closest air terminal is Cochin International Airport, which is 110 kilometers away. The Coimbatore and Madurai airplane terminals is 165 km from Munnar.
